Low Fat, Low Calorie Frosty Shakes

You will never exhaust the possibilities of this delicious treat! There are endless variations – fresh fruits, dried fruits, nuts and mix-ins; different flavored frozen yogurts, and different flavored syrups provide multiple fun and delicious combinations. This smoothie is a great breakfast drink, afternoon snack, or even a light refreshing dessert. If you don’t already own a blender, it is worth going out and buying just to be able to make this yummy frosty – You won’t be sorry that you did!

1 pint non-fat chocolate frozen yogurt (or whichever flavor you choose)

1/2 cup skim milk

1/2 cup fresh (or thawed frozen) raspberries (or fruit of your choice)

2 tablespoons pure raspberry syrup (or 2 teaspoons raspberry extract) – or the syrup/extract flavor of your choice

Puree all of the ingredients in a blender until creamy and frosty (about 45-60 seconds). Divide frosty between 4 glasses, garnish with fruit, nuts, chocolate chips, granola, or lowfat whipped cream and enjoy!!
